Countdown!

Well, here it is - 15 years in the making ... boy does that sound bigger than it actually is! I'm 2 days away from a great adventure as I begin my first sabbatical away from Bramalea Baptist church! My dream has always been to have adventures and this is it! I will be leaving on June 4th with my son Travis on an amazing trek across the US to Washington, Oregon, and California! I can't wait to hit the west - there's something about that place that's in my blood and I can't wait to head thru Wyoming and Montana - there is something so John Wayne-ish about those places!

Anyhow - It's time to go west young men and Travis and I will be on the first leg of a journey that will see my wife Lesley and our daughters Leah and Grace join us as we rest, recharge and refocus for the next leg of our journey following Jesus!

My friends have made this possible in that they have supported us to journey and to grow and learn and my only regret is that I leave them behind. But they will have their own adventures with the young people we have been blessed to serve with and I can't wait to gather on our return and share the stories of the adventures we have had! So I've fully loaded my mp3 player with the U2 collection (thanks again guys!) and we head out at 6am Saturday June 4th, 2005!
